Economy, investment, innovation, and continuous optimisation are all economic necessities for HUECK, but we also strive for a sensible balance that is oriented toward a responsible approach to the environment, people, and the future. In this way, we influence the manufacturing process right from the production stage, not only during purchasing and material procurement. Traditionally, we process a material that is highly energy-intensive but still performs well in the eco-balance due to its low weight, long durability, and infinite recyclability. We focus on resource efficiency, recyclability, and long service life when developing and manufacturing our system solutions. However, our commitment to sustainability does not end with material and production. At all company levels, we are constantly working to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption, increase the use of renewable energy, reduce resource consumption and minimise waste.
WHY ALUMINIUM?
Recycling - With around 700,000 tonnes, the German aluminium recycling industry is one of the leaders in Europe. Aluminium is almost entirely recyclable and reusable, making it a valuable material in the truest sense of the word. Therefore, used aluminium is recycled and fed into the circular economy.
No quality loss - Aluminium can be recycled with virtually no loss of quality. Therefore, more recycled aluminium is already produced in Germany than new aluminium. Aluminium recycling rates in Germany are high, with 95% of it being reused in the transportation and construction sectors, for example.
Material for generations - A major advantage of aluminium is its usually long service life. It is not uncommon for 90- to 100-year-old components to still be intact today. At the end of its service life, aluminium becomes a valuable raw material for further uses. And all at a fraction of the original energy cost.
Service life - The service life of aluminium windows is around 60 years.
